With one swing on Tuesday Brian Giles erased all memories of a subpar batting year. Well, I won’t go that far, but it was pretty awesome nonetheless. Giles’ 9th inning 3 run HR will go down as one of the most important HR’s in team history, pulling the Padres a game up in the wildcard with five games remaining.
I remember that game, I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. I really can't believe that they pulled it off. I wish they could have gone all the way but it just wasn't in the cards for them that year. Hopefully soon the will be able to pull it off.
